About Face by Luminous is owned and under the direction of Richard Maggio, MD.
Dr. Maggio, or Dr. Rich as he likes to be called, has over 30 years of experience as a Board Certified Urological Surgeon. Dr. Maggio received his Medical Degree from New York Medical College and completed his urologic training at NYU Medical Center in 1993. Over a decade ago, Dr. Maggio had a dream of opening a wellness center combining health and wellness, aesthetics, sexual health, and a place not only for women but for men to also feel comfortable. This dream evolved into About Face by Luminous, and he now has 18 years of experience in the aesthetics field.
Dr. Maggio completed extensive training and certifications in many non-invasive aesthetic procedures. As a Urologist, Dr. Maggio understands the hardship of sexual dysfunction and female stress incontinence. He developed customized treatments for men with erectile dysfunction using low-intensity shockwave therapy with PRP and Votiva vaginal rejuvenation for women. These customizable treatments have brought positive results and satisfactory life changes for so many clients.
Dr. Maggio also specializes in Morpheus 8 micro-needling with radio frequency for face and body tightening, Ultherapy ultrasound technology for face lifting, and Coolsculpting for non-invasive spot fat reduction. About Face by Luminous is the only local MedSpa to offer ZWave with all Coolsculpting treatments for up to 30% more fat reduction, plus cellulite treatment. Dr. Maggio also offers injectables, such as Dysport and fillers, PRP for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration, Vitamin B12, and individually customized IV Vitamin Therapies for health and total well-being. His newest available treatments include micro-botox for rosacea and enlarged pores and PDO Thread Lift non-surgical face and body lifting.
